Monikers started during the pandemic, as a crochet hobby I picked up. For a while it stayed just that — I kept starting and stopping, never fully committing, partly because I didn’t want turning it into a business to ruin something I actually enjoyed doing.
Eventually I decided to go for it anyway. I picked up sewing along the way too, so I could make more than just crochet pieces — scrunchies, bows, bags, pouches, all handmade and made slowly, by hand.
Every piece has its own small quirks — no two turn out exactly the same. That’s just what happens when something’s handmade, worked on by hand, one at a time, with patience most machines skip. It’s the part I like most.
The name actually comes from a nickname a close friend gave me — a “moniker” for Monica. Made sense to keep it, since every piece here is its own little thing too, made for whoever it goes to. That’s you now.
Thanks for shopping small — it means a lot.
